We are still in Lockdown and I don't believe that the gyms are going to open until July at the earliest. I am currently considering times and dates for classes as the Covid levels dip. Realistically I don't think that classes will be running properly until September.
I am sorry that the online content hasn't happened but unfortunately we had some worrying news just before lockdown and work was not on my mind. - thankfully that has very recently had a positive outcome :)
I will contact everyone soon via email - I hope that you are all keeping safe and well.

The Spring Equinox is on 20th March 2020 and I am really feeling hopeful that we are going to have a drier, sunnier and warmer Spring.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine & Five Element Theory it is the time of the energetic element of Wood. Wood does not like stagnation so it is time to move!
It is also a time of 'Spring Cleaning' your home & Detoxifying your body, which does seem to be an instinctive drive at this time of year. Mentally it is out with the old and in with the new, it is also a time of creativity.
In our Yin practice it is a time of moving gently into some lovely poses that are going to help to activate our Liver and Gallbladder Meridians so that we can release any blockages and allow our energy to flow freely.
The Liver and Gallbladder meridians
Our Liver regulates our Qi (Energy) & Blood and is also connected with Digestion, eye problems, anger and nails. Our Gallbladder is known as The Decision Maker and stores Bile which is also connected with digestion.
The Organ pair are associated with muscles, ligaments and tendons so it is a great place to start for Spring.
This class is suitable for beginners.

This is such a lovely breathing technique.
My Monday evening class (7.15pm - 8pm) is 'Men on Mats'
The class is a 45 minute mix of Pure Stretch, Pilates & Yoga.
The main emphasis of the class is to strengthen the core muscles, improve flexibility, mobility and balance.
Including a stretch routine into your training can enhance your performance and help to prevent injuries which can be caused by over use and poor alignment.
If you would like to come along to a class please contact me
Love Yoga - have you tried Yin?
Yin is the perfect complement to a Yoga (Yang) practice.
What is Yin Yoga?
Yin is a slow meditative type of yoga.
Yin focuses on stimulating acupressure points by easing slowly and gently into poses which also target deep connective tissues, ligaments and joints. The poses are held for between 3 and 5 minutes.
It is a great way to counter the aging process by hydrating the tissues, releasing tension and relaxing the mind.
Tight calf muscles can contribute to poor alignment, cramp and other leg and low back issues - this exercise is worth doing on a daily basis.
Tight calves may develop if you are training, running & walking long distances without stretching them. This is a quick and easy way to stretch calves (you could do it whilst brushing your teeth).
Do you want a more efficient running form?
Are you a runner looking to improve your form? Are you struggling with low back pain or other aches and pains?
Have you tried Pilates?
Pilates when practised 1-2 times a week can help you to develop a stronger core and improve your posture; both of which can contribute to improved running technique.
Pilates exercises focus on strengthening the core so that it becomes the 'Powerhouse' of movement.
